Hero WODS are benchmark workouts named after fallen soldiers. There are over 160 hero WODS. Almost all hero WODS are challenging to complete. They are typically more demanding than the Rx level programmed at CrossFit.com. Hero WODS serve as benchmark workouts much like the Girl WODs and Open Workouts. In general, hero WODS are much tougher to complete at the Rx. Most hero WODS have an elegance to their programming and are fun to do in larger groups. New athletes should scale their loads and reps (get help from your coach.) Chad 1000X and Murph are common hero WODS done in most CrossFit gyms worldwide.
