Dawn and I carefully watch the online client schedule.  Should you book a session with one of our “newer” coaches, and we feel you would benefit by having us present at the session, we’ll adjust our schedule to make sure that coach has our support.  Whether it’s session preparation, additional training, or our supervision during the session, we will make sure your session goes well.  Additionally, all coaches we hire are meticulously trained by me.  I hire only 10% of the coaches we interview, and I won’t put new coaches on the schedule until they are ready.

Mobility vs Flexibility vs Yoga vs Stretching

Excerpt: I am assuming you are already convinced on the importance of exercise.  And if you scroll down a bit, I will break down the differences between mobility, flexibility, yoga, and stretching in careful detail.  Without sufficient mobility you cannot be all that you wish to be.  This applies whether your chosen craft is golf, strength training, CrossFit, or endurance running.  You are not as efficient as a runner, you are more likely to get injured as a golfer, you are slower in CrossFit than you ought to be, and as a power lifter your recovery times are slower.

Mobility is critical for all sports and physical activities.  Lift Smarter… Not Harder.

The holiday sessions are noted on the schedule as: (Memorial Day) Personal Training. You can use your regular package to book them. Just a quick reminder that cancellations require 24 hours notice.

Pride Month for LGBT

Sand & Steel will be devoting a lot of energy to supporting Pride Month this year.  We are doing that to showing our support for the LGBT community which is very important to me and Dawn personally.  We have hired many LGBT coaches and have always had a good following of LGBT clients.

Part of the reason for participating in Pride this year is help make the message clear that Sand & Steel is strongly in favor of gay and lesbian rights.  There are some that may feel a little discriminatory comments are OK at Sand & Steel.  It is not.  Sand & Steel is a place to build confidence and workout in a safe place.   Which is why we have a zero tolerance policy for anti-LGBT comments or actions for coaches and clients.
