Ask any personal trainer, and they’ll tell you that writing a program that burns fat and build muscle simultaneously is the Holy grail of exercise.  It can be done at Sand & Steel through our Get Steel Strong program — and Sara can show you how.

The reason it’s so difficult to do is because it requires a finely-tuned diet as well as a rock solid performance in the gym.  Spin classes, Zumba, and other forms of aerobics just aren’t going to create enough stimulus to build muscle.   More than that, even if you have the knowledge and excellent coaching you are going to have to be disciplined at the fridge and dialed in at the gym.  And that’s exactly what Sara F. has done.

Sara lost 3lbs of fat and added 2.5 pounds of muscle in 30 days!

As you can see in the chart above her muscle increase between the first and second month was small as compared to her muscle increase in the second and third month.  We kept the fitness programming the same, but upped her nutrition by increasing her vegetable and protein consumption.  That was the fuel her body needed to pack on some serious muscle.  2.5 pounds worth.

It takes a lot of hardwork to hit numbers like Sara pulled this month, and we are very proud of her.  And that’s why she is our May Client-of-the-Month.
