About ten years ago, I looked in the mirror and didn’t like what I saw. Ever been there? I weighed 280 lbs. Coming from a family with various health issues, I knew that if I didn’t make some changes in my lifestyle, I’d keep heading down further into disease and the state of my health would continue to worsen
To give my motivation a jump-start, I entered a two-month long Biggest Loser contest but due to my then-very high blood pressure I was almost not allowed to participate! After the first week of exercising and making the necessary nutritional changes, my blood pressure decreased enough that it was no longer a concern. At the end of the contest, I lost 50 pounds. Even though I didn’t get the grand prize, I knew I won because of how good I felt about my health, fitness level, and appearance.
Since that contest, I have tried various exercise and nutrition programs and have found what works for me. This experience sparked my desire to help other people improve their overall health and well-being. I am now a Certified Personal Trainer and a Certified Nutrition Coach.
I’ve found that to make a big difference in your health, it doesn’t have to be an all-or-nothing approach or making drastic changes in a short amount of time. It is truly about making a few small changes that shift the trajectory of your habits to result in health and fitness improvements over time. It’s about progress and not about perfection. Together, we can find what works for you and I can help you stay motivated.
You have to start where you are; you just have to start and trust the process. As Chuck Norris said, “There is no finish line. When you reach one goal, find a new one.” I will help you establish a good nutrition and exercise regimen. We will continue to build your health and fitness with small goals that will result in big changes over time. Are you ready to give your health and fitness a new chance with me as your coach?! I can’t wait to meet you!
FUN FACTS ABOUT ME
Captain America. He was one of the greatest heroes while I was growing up. As a child I was drawn to the patriotic colors of his outfit representing the United States Flags, plus his shield to defect things coming at him.
New Year’s Day. During New Year’s Eve, I reflect on the accomplishments I’ve made that year, finalize my goals for the new year, and celebrate the end of the year with family and friends. On New Year’s Day, I begin working on my goals for the coming year.
I have a lot of go-to songs. My current mood, or the activity I’m engaged in, factors into the songs I will listen to on repeat.
Since I’m from New England, it would be lobstah, steamahs (clams), corn on the cob, and baked potato. Actually add a nice filet and make it a surf and turf.
My wife said that I’m good at annoying her, but I strongly disagree. How could someone like me be annoying? I’m pretty good at being sarcastic 🙂
