12 Workouts of Christmas 2020

For 2020, I give you not one or two Christmas-themed WODS. I didn’t even stop at 12 workouts. This year, I bring you 13 Christmas-Themed Workouts. There are many CrossFit Christmas Workouts out there, but none compares to this one. Merry Christmas 🎄 and Happy WODS to Everyone ❄.

Hamstring Correctives

• 25 Hamstring TRX Curls
• 50 Swiss Hamstring Curls

2 Rounds of Snatches:

2 Rounds of Snatches:

  • 100 Kettlebell Snatches switch arms as needed (53/35)
  • 20 Barbell Power Snatches 95 / 75

Score Time to Complete

3 Shoulder Presses

Shoulder Press for load: 3-3-3-3-3-3-3 reps

Warm Up: 3 sets of:

  • TRX Y,T,W’s 10 each position
  • 10 Banded Face Pulls

Mobility: 2x:

  • 10 Vertical wall roll’s
  • Banded external rotation’s 10/ each arm
  • Banded external step away’s 10 reps with a 10 second pause
  • Banded shoulder circles 20 seconds small, medium, and large circles

4 Terrible Tabatas

Tabata back squats, 95 | 65 lb. Rest 1 minute
Tabata L-sit. Rest 1 minute
Tabata ring rows. Rest 1 minute
Tabata handstand hold. Rest 1 minute

Scoring and Scaling:

  • Backsquat (no rack). Hold the bar the whole time.
  • L-Sit Hold, each second in L hold counts as a rep. Beginners can have one foot on the ground
  • Ring Rows: Expert – Inverted Ring Rows
  • Handstand: Expert – free handstand; Advanced & Intermediate against the wall. Beginner off a box

Score total reps.

5 Rounds of Barbara

5 rounds, each for time, of:

  • 20 pull-ups
  • 30 push-ups
  • 40 sit-ups
  • 50 squats

6 Rounds of Annie

60-50-40-30-20-10 Reps

Double Unders and Situps

7 Kettlebells Clanking

20 Minute Time Cap:

Do 7 reps of exercises on the Left Side then all 7 on the Right Side

  1. KB Russian Clean (35/31)
  2. KB 1 Arm Front Squats (35/31)
  3. KB 1 Arm Thrusters (35/31)
  4. 1 Arm Swings (35/31) (per hand)
  5. Swings to High Pulls (35/31) (per hand)
  6. KB Seated Straddle Press (35/31)
  7. Turkish Getups (35/31)

In the remaining time: complete as many Russian Clean – Front Squat – Thrusters as you can.  Switch hands every 5.

Score total Russian Clean – Front Squat – Thrusters completed

8 Squats & Pullups

Complete as many rounds as possible in 8 minutes of:

  • 10 body-weight back squats
  • 10 kipping chest to bar pull-ups or pullups

Rest 5 Minutes.

Complete as many rounds as possible in 8 minutes of:

  • 5 body-weight back squats
  • 5 kipping chest to bar pull-ups or pullups

9 Barbells Jumping

9 Rounds

  • 5 Evil Jumps
  • 3 Clean and Press 95 / 75

The Halloween WOD with a Twist

10 Minutes of Terror

Complete as many rounds as possible in 10 minutes of:

  • 20 ring dips
  • 15 TRX L Oblique Crunch
  • 20 Candlesticks
  • 15 TRX R Oblique Crunch

11 Heel Hooks Hooking

3 Rounds for time

  • Handstand Walk 11 Tiles or 11 Wall Walkers
  • 11 Heel Hooks / Leg Tucks

12 Squatters Snatching

Complete as many rounds as possible in 12 minutes of:

  • 1 squat snatch. ♀ 75 lb. ♂ 95 lb.
  • 3 clean and jerks. ♀ 75 lb. ♂ 95 lb.
  • 30 double-unders or 60 single unders

On The Last Day of Christmas, Coach Paul Gave to Me

30 Minute Time Cap.  Do the exercises in the same order as the song.  So it’s 1 Burpee, then 2 situps and 1 burpee, then 3 candle sticks, 2 situps, 1 burpees, then 4 air squats, 3 candle sticks, 2 situps, 1 burpee, etc.

  • 1 Burpees

  • 6 Kettlebell Swings (per side)
  • 7 Kettlebell 1 Leg Deadlifts per side

  • 12 Strict Chinups

1 Beginner’s use a weight plate.

Kettlebell weight is the same for all exercises. 

2 Tripod headstand, and tap one knee to elbow.  Beginner’s keep on foot on the floor.

3. Sandball clean weight will be determined based on your max deadlift.  Stronger people get a heavier ball.  Sorry, not sorry 🙂
