Amanda Vega: CrossFit Coach and Registered Dietitian

Personal Training Certifications

  1. Bachelor’s of Science – Dietetics from Kansas State University
  2. Registered Dietitian (RD)
  3. CrossFit Level 1
  4. First Aid, CPR, and AED Certified

I am many things; a Registered Dietitian (RD), CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, and mom of two VERY active and energetic boys. Me and my husband are both Marine Corps veterans. We’ve traveled and met so many unique individuals. I love trying new things and I love meeting and getting to know people. I’m a total sucker for a good backstory! My pronouns are she/her/hers.

Most importantly, if you love working out early in the morning I’m the coach for you. See you at the 6am class!

My Passion and Goals: My passion is helping people before an unhealthy lifestyle makes them ill.  I am currently pursuing my Masters in Human Nutrition at The University of Alabama and plan to get certified in Group Fitness Instruction and eventually attend the CrossFit Level 2 course. When it comes to nutrition and fitness I have an all things in moderation approach, that is unless you have specific body composition goals. Otherwise, eat what you love and do what makes you feel good!

Your Certifications

My Experience:  I joined CrossFit to start weightlifting, little did I know I’d be joining for so much more (including burpees)! I earned my L1 in 2018 and have been practicing since. Powerlifts are still my favorite part of CrossFit, but I work on it all.

As a dietitian I see a range of people from healthy to ill and young to old. The greatest joy I get out of nutrition and fitness is helping others learn new things, especially about themselves.
