Training Program: Westside Conjugate Strength Training

Over 20 pounds of fat lost in 2.5 months. Here’s how he did it:

Brad began his journey with the our Transformation I programming shedding a record setting 20 pounds in 2.5 months. Once he made decision to rebuild his entire wardrobe (e.g. throwing out his fat clothes πŸ™‚ ), we switched Brad to a strength training programming so we could build his strength to his ultimate goal, the Ring Muscle-Up.

We placed Brad on the a strength and power lifting programming called the Westside Strength Training Programming. The program is based on powerlifting techniques using bands and chains to build dynamic resistance. This system uses traditional lifts (Deadlift, Bench Press, Squat, Overhead Press) and their supplemental variations (Box Squat, Straight Leg Deadlift, Push Press, etc) along with accommodating resistance to improve strength. Training increased to three (3) times a week to optimize the program and allow muscle groups to recover. Utilizing Dynamic days and Max Effort days we can already begin to see strength gains.

In addition to following the Westside Conjugate Strength Training System Brad is on Saturday’s to work on his gymnastic skills. As he has increased strength and core stability so have his skills on the rings and in handstands.
