My Mission:

Before training at Sand & Steel, I worked as a Tennis Coach for 3 years at Bethesda Sport and Health, then as an Athletic director at a training camp for high school athletes. By combining my background in sports conditioning with Sand & Steel’s unparalleled expertise with weight training and mobility, I look to offer a wide range of techniques to help you accomplish any fitness goal you might have. Improving my health and fitness changed my life, and I will use that passion to help you change yours.


As someone who struggled with obesity for many years, I understand fully the challenges of getting and staying in shape. I’ve worked with clients of all shapes and sizes, as well as individuals from a variety of athletic backgrounds. Whatever your goals may be, I look forward to using every tool at my disposal to help you achieve lasting results for years to come.

Mark is a former collegiate athlete, tennis coach, and current personal trainer at Sand & Steel fitness. He's lost over 70 pounds and loves helping others reach their health and fitness goals.
