Dan came to us because he wanted to lose weight and build strength.  He also was concerned about getting injured in group fitness type activities.  The program we create for him focused on long rounds times using functional strength training movements.  Particularly, we used a lot of sandbags and kettlebells.  Here’s an example workout:

Workout 1: Weight Loss

CrossFit 42 Minutes
3 Rounds (12 minutes per rounds: 2 minutes rest between rounds)

  • 15 Sand Ball Shoulder Cleans at 35# (pace 3:00)
  • 6L/6R Turkish Getup with 15# (pace 4:00)
  • 50 TRX Bosu Rows (stand on the edge of bosu)
  • 10 Bosu Burpees (Pace 1:30)
