For me, the greatest joy is having a positive influence on my community through helping others improve their strength, mobility, and self-confidence. Therefore, I will always be learning and doing my part within this community. Most importantly, if you love working out early in the morning I the personal trainer for you!
My Passion: The goals I have set for myself are to attend a master’s program in exercise science or psychology, become certified Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator, and learn as much as I can from my new community here at Sand and Steel Fitness.
My Experience:
For 5 years I have trained active duty and separated service members in the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Army and Air Force. Each one had their different yet specific goals. However, the active-duty members all had a unifying goal – to perform their duties while maintaining physical readiness! This was achieved by successfully completing the bi-annual fitness test with great scores.
Over the past 2 years I have trained both working and stay-at-home moms by helping them reach their desired fitness goals from increasing their endurance capacity to losing weight. I have also coached; physical therapists, nurses, and lawyers helping them build upon their physical needs and decreasing their stress from their line of work. Some of the training consisted of strength training along with the importance of nasal breathing.
Last but not least, I have enjoyed my time training collegiate baseball as well as shot put and discus throwers, both of which being extremely explosive athletes with high level rotational requirements.
You may or may not fall into these categories of athlete, but that is okay because I will always design and utilize the best programming and modalities for you.
